Purpose

This meeting continued the dialogue on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) program and the comprehensive review of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations medical standards.

Interested parties from several major stakeholder groups attended, including medical examiners, motor carriers, representatives of national industry associations, medical associations, certification and accreditation organizations, medical training organizations, Federal and state motor carrier enforcement agencies and safety organizations.
